Getting Back to basics has never been so fun. With Christmas right around the corner (for me anyway) my ornaments are on their way from Germany and Christmas designs are ready do go.

In the meantime, I moved to Miami with my Curly and we are just loving it. 

The view from my balcony is amazing and in the evenings, BREATHTAKING.

The neon buildings against the dark night sky energize and inspire me. It brought me to a place where vibrant color and a paint brush  were all I needed to cultivate my Miami Flair.

The new collection of Divas are from the streets of Miami.

Bight, Colorful and Contemporary,

I am loving and embracing this beautiful city and paying homage to the beautiful Miami women who inspire me.

A Special Area on Innamorata Hill

Over the years I have posted pictures of my little sacred place. It used to have curtain that surrounded the iron structure. About 8 Years ago, when we moved to this new home the curtains were packed away in garbage bags for the move. Needless to say, it was a happy accident.

I needed somewhere to sit and pray, think and just "chill".  I bought some wisteria, wind chimes and a few pretty pots.  Later on I added a stone bench and before I knew it, it was beginning to look exactly how a magick garden should.

Over the years, friends have given me little gifts to add to the character of this special place.

There are crosses and dragons, globes and domes, a weathervane and  an armillary or two.

Little gifts from fans, hostess gifts from friends and little odds and ends from family fill this space with so much spirit and the knowledge that "all is good in this place"

So many time, when friends post or someone asks for a prayer this is the spot where I find myself.

Full moon and a few candles are the most relaxing and spiritual.

Today, April 22, 2012 was the first day of Spring cleaning in my 10x10 refuge.

This is the latest. For everyone that has watched it grow and change over the years, thank you for being a special part of this heavenly little sanctuary.

Pretty Textiles for Home and Apparel

Yes, it's true. Yet another idea that has come full circle. I was recently in an airport and had the perfect opportunity to people watch.  As I sat waiting for my flight I began to notice the styles that were walking by. From casually dressed to the fanciest of diva's, what I did notice was almost everyone had a favorite designer logo on one part of their apparel or another.  From sneakers to scarves the range was extensive.

I do admit, I myself have a few of the familiar designer items but after seeing the sea of LV, Chanel, Gucci etc. the prospect of me wearing ME was simply Fab! I started sketching and making notes. The idea of creating paintings for textile designs began to overtake my imagination. Now, the silky LV scarf turned into a NS, how exciting.

When I finally returned home I started going through my old favorites. I narrowed it down to 4 designs.
I reworked them, added color, texture and automagicaly, I had my first of what would be my new scarf collection. The pink, blue and turq/aqua work for all sorts of projects. A beautiful side chair, wall covering, scarf and who knows what else.

Of course I needed something for me now, something that would really say Natalie Sarabella. I thought first of a beautiful Christmas design... but since this was the kickoff of Spring/Summer  I decided..."Spring it is"

But I still needed that one "thing" that would be my "FIRST"

I decided, since I owned a few designer logo scarves, that is what I wanted.
The fabric had to be perfect, the design was my Natalie Sarabella MMXI logo. Just Perfect!

The hardest part was waiting for my project to get back to me.

It arrived!! I love it!!  

I wanted it to have a beautiful hand rolled and hand stitched edge. Since I am the most impatient person in the world I had to settle.  After all, it was my scarf and as always, I needed it NOW.

In the end it was just as I pictured it, except for my beautiful rolled edge.  I brought it to men's tailor and he made me a scarf sized handkerchief. lol.. well, it was better than not having it in time for my trip.

Travel time came, yeayyyy.  I get to wear my NS logo scarf. My own label, my own designer "IT" thing.

Got lots of compliments, gave out lots of cards and at the end of it all.... I got sales !!!

Can't wait to make my floral Spring dress.
